Synopsys Outreach Foundation Partners with RAFT and the Krause Center of Innovation for their 2022 Teacher Training Series
Bay Area Middle & High School Educators
In March, we are debuting an Environmental Literacy Think Tank (for middle and high school teachers) – in partnership with RAFT. This program aims to provide teachers and students the opportunity to explore their own local ecosystems and engage in hands-on activities (outside!). The kickoff will be on Saturday, March 26th and provide resources teachers can use with their students on Earth Day!
Come engage in some SEL, explore a local park (through the eyes of a student), and enjoy some snacks in the sun. Participants are also invited to a summer mini-series of sessions designed to provide teachers time and support in integrating the new Environmental Literacy Standards into their existing curriculum.
(open to the first 30 to register)
This event will be held in person at an outdoor location TBA from 10am – 12:30pm.
Light refreshments and coffee will be provided.
Bay Area Elementary School Educators
Additionally, K-6 STEAM educators are invited to grow in leadership and equity (June 20-24) with the KCI STEAM Leadership Program. This program focuses on research-backed equity-driven instruction and pedagogy. SOF is sponsoring 20 teachers to participate in this program. Teachers who participate in it will receive 12 continuing education units, a STEAM Instructional Leadership Certificate from the State of California, and a group of like-minded educators who are devoted to equitable STEAM instruction.
Applicants will be notified by April 8th
We wish everyone health, happiness, and some much needed sunshine. As always, please feel free to send questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
